Ahh, the much anticipated final installment of the Hunger Games. I can honestly say that for me it lived up to high expectations. I was once again drawn into the world of Panem and was mostly satisfied by the ending. There were a couple of things left up in the air that I was disapointed never got a mention in the epilogue, but overall I think it was the end it needed to be.
I really enjoyed getting to know some characters better, like Finnink for example. I think Suzanne Collins creates wonderful characters, honest and real even in their outrageousness.
I do sometimes get confused in the heat of action when some strange thing is going on like the ground splitting in two and I'm not sure if I imagine it quite the way it was intended... But sometimes that helps to focus on the emotions of the events rather than what's physically happening.
But I liked it. I liked it a lot.
