Really for me this book deserves 3.5 stars. I more than liked it... I just didn't love it.
Neil Gaiman's talent seems to be immersing you into a world with simplicity, whit and creativity. This has both positive and negative implications. The words on the page a vivid and instantly thrust the precise image you need into your mind, however sometimes I desired a little more feeling and conversation between characters, a little more detail in their interactions.
This book took me a month to read, and I enjoyed it. But it didn't propel me through or make me fall in love with any of the characters. I just like the writing itself. But without that, there's not much left.
